Hello everyone! Sweet potato coconut milk sago dessert is definitely one of the treats that both children and adults love. Since this cold season makes a warm bowl of sweet potato coconut milk sago the perfect match, I'd like to share an easy and simple method you can cook at home in a short time.

Ingredients

  • Sago pearls - 1 cup
  • Purple-fleshed sweet potato - 5 pieces
  • Brown sugar - 100 grams
  • Coconut milk - 1 can
  • A little salt
  • Water

Step-by-step preparation method

(1) First, put about 4 cups of water into a pot and bring it to a boil. Once the water is boiling, add the sago pearls and stir gently with a ladle. Boil for about 15 minutes, and once the sago pearls look clear and are cooked, pour them into a strainer and drain the water.

(2) Cut the sweet potatoes into small cube-shaped pieces. Then, in a pot, combine the cut sweet potato pieces with the sugar, add about 2 cups of water, and boil over low heat. Boil for about 5 minutes until all the sugar has dissolved. Once done, add the coconut milk into the pot with the boiled sweet potatoes in sugar syrup.

(3) Once the coconut milk is added, add a pinch of salt for flavor and continue to simmer for about 3 minutes. You can add more sugar according to your taste if you need it sweeter. After 3 minutes, turn off the heat. Then add the previously boiled and drained sago pearls into the sweet potato coconut milk pot and stir gently.

(4) Now you have a warm, beautifully colored, and sweetly fragrant sweet potato coconut milk sago. Pour it into your favorite bowl, and you can enjoy this nutritious and delicious sweet potato coconut milk sago.
