Hello everyone! Unlike the usual fried chicken, this tender and juicy fried chicken marinated with garlic and honey before being fried is sure to make your rice taste amazing. Whether it's for a family meal or to prepare as a snack for your beloved husband, it's also especially suitable for kids, so I'd like to share the recipe for this honey-marinated fried chicken.
Ingredients
- Chicken breast (or thigh) 400 grams
- Fish sauce 1 spoon
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Honey 3 spoons
- Garlic sauce 1 spoon
- Chili powder half a spoon
- A little salt
- Spring onion 3 stalks
- Sesame seeds 2 serving spoons
- Cooking oil
Step-by-step instructions
(1) Wash the chicken breast or thigh thoroughly. You can cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces or keep it in its original size according to your preference. Once washed and cleaned, place the chicken in a strainer and drain the water.
(2) Next, finely mince the garlic. Then, in a bowl, combine the drained chicken pieces with 3 spoons of honey, the minced garlic, a little salt, chili powder, and garlic sauce paste, and knead well until evenly mixed.
(3) Massage the chicken well with your hands so the flavors soak in thoroughly. Once done, place it in the refrigerator and let it marinate for about 3 hours. Marinating for a long time allows the flavor to seep into the chicken, and since it's marinated with honey, the meat will become even more tender.
(4) Once the marinating time is up, first place a pot on the stove, add oil, and heat it. Add enough oil to submerge the chicken pieces. This way, the outer layer will become crispy while the inside remains tender and delicious to eat.
(5) Once the oil is hot, add the chicken pieces and fry them. Fry for about 20 minutes, and once the outer layer of the chicken pieces turns golden, remove them from the pot, place them in a strainer, and drain the oil. Then transfer to a plate of your choice, sprinkle with neatly sliced spring onions and sesame seeds, and you can now enjoy this incredibly delicious, tender and juicy honey-marinated fried chicken.
