Hello everyone! In the old days, people could only eat fruits and vegetables according to their season. But as technology and medicine have advanced, fruits have been treated with chemicals so that they can be consumed all 12 months of the year. While some might think this is a good thing, from another perspective, consumers tend to hesitate to buy and eat such chemically-treated foods because they can be harmful to health.
With health in mind, people have been making extra effort to search for and buy organic fruits and vegetables that contain no chemicals at all. However, since these are organic strawberries, it's not possible to keep them fresh enough to eat all year round naturally. That's why I want to share a few methods on how to store organic strawberries so they stay fresh for a long period of time.
First, mix water and vinegar evenly together. Then, soak the strawberries in this vinegar-water mixture for about 5 minutes.
Once the 5 minutes are up, remove the strawberries from the vinegar solution and rinse them again with water. After that, remove the green tops from the strawberries.
Next, transfer the strawberries into an airtight container.
Take them out of the container and place them on a clean cloth, then let them air dry. If you want them to dry quickly, you can blow a fan on them.
Once you're sure they're completely dry, place the strawberries into a sealable bag. Remove all the air from the bag until none remains, then seal the bag's zip tightly to keep it airtight.
Then, you can simply place it in the freezer to keep it cold.
If you store strawberries using this method, they will stay preserved for an entire year, and even after a long time has passed, you'll still be able to enjoy them fresh and full of flavor.
