Are you someone who cares about dental health, brushing your teeth regularly twice a day?
If you don't care about dental health, only brush your teeth once in the morning, and always forget to brush before going to bed at night, then you should be worried about your teeth and gums.
To keep your teeth white and strong so that you can be the owner of a beautiful smile every time you smile, you also need to pay close attention to the food you eat.
If you regularly eat the foods listed below, you won't need to worry about your dental health anymore.
Cheese
Whenever you eat bread, chips, sour foods, or soda, the acids contained in these foods can cause your teeth to decay. Therefore, if you eat a piece of cheese afterward to remove those acids, your teeth will not decay.
Fish
To protect your teeth and gums from various diseases, you need to consume enough calcium. However, if the calcium you consume is not sufficient, your body won't be able to absorb it properly. Fish like salmon, which are naturally rich in fat, are also rich in Vitamin D, making them good for your teeth and gums.
Oranges
The Vitamin C contained in oranges strengthens blood vessels and connective tissues, and reduces gum inflammation. Drink fruit juices rich in Vitamin C, such as oranges and grapefruits, every day. However, one thing to be careful of is that you shouldn't brush your teeth immediately after eating these foods — wait about an hour before brushing.
Water
Saliva is composed of 99.5% water. The water in saliva is useful for breaking down the food you eat and also helps remove bad breath odors. While drinking water isn't as effective as brushing your teeth, if you rinse your mouth and drink water after every meal, it will help remove food residue and plaque. Rinsing your mouth after eating foods that tend to stain your teeth, like coffee, can also help reduce teeth yellowing.
Herbal/Plain Hot Water
Drinking either plain hot water or green tea can kill the bacteria that cause plaque buildup on teeth. These bacteria are the culprits that feed on the sugar in your mouth and damage your tooth enamel. Therefore, to help kill these bacteria, you can drink hot water while eating and after finishing your meal.
