Kidney stones are not a life-threatening disease, but they can cause discomfort and pain. Sufferers may experience symptoms for at least 1 to 2 days, and up to a week at most.
But if you want quick relief from this condition, there are some simple home remedies you can try.
Use Aloe Vera Gel
Scoop out the gel from an aloe vera leaf with a spoon and put it into an airtight container. Then apply the aloe vera gel onto the red spots where the kidney stone pain is felt. You can store the remaining aloe vera gel in the refrigerator. This gel can be used within 7 days.
Baking Soda
You will need 180 grams of baking soda and about one basin of warm water. Pour the warm water into a basin, add the baking soda, and stir well until it dissolves. Soak in this water for about 10 to 12 minutes. If you soak like this every day, the pain and discomfort you are experiencing will gradually subside.
Use Neem Leaves
Pound a handful of neem leaves until finely crushed. Then mix it with a little water. Apply the resulting neem juice and crushed leaves onto the red spots.
Alternatively, you can add neem leaves to your bath water and soak in it. With this method, you should do it about twice a day.
Use Lemon Juice
Mix 2 tablespoons of lemon juice (or lime juice) with 250 milliliters of water and stir well. Then dip a small cotton ball into the lemon juice and apply it onto the affected skin where the kidney stone pain spots are. Leave it on for a few minutes, then wipe it clean with a damp, clean cloth. This method should also be done about twice a day.
