There are many causes of vomiting. Some are caused by car sickness or seasickness, overeating, drinking too much beer, indigestion, stress and fear, or vomiting due to pregnancy, among many others.
As side effects of vomiting, dizziness and headaches often occur as well. That's why we're sharing some home remedies you can use to help relieve vomiting and how to treat it to feel better.
Lemon juice
Mix one teaspoon of lemon juice with one teaspoon of honey. Drink the resulting mixture slowly, little by little. After a few minutes, your dizziness and headache will be relieved, and the urge to vomit will disappear.
Apple cider vinegar
Mix one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar with 125 milliliters of water. Use this liquid to gargle and freshen your mouth. Gargle whenever you feel the urge to vomit.
Cinnamon stick
Soak one cinnamon stick in 250 milliliters of boiling water for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, remove the cinnamon stick, add a little honey, and stir well.
Drink the resulting mixture about three times a day.
Onion
Mix 1 teaspoon of onion juice with half a teaspoon of honey. Drink the resulting mixture little by little. Since it improves your digestive system, it will help relieve vomiting.
This mixture can be made once or twice a day.
Baking soda
Mix about a quarter teaspoon of baking soda with 125 milliliters of water. As soon as you finish vomiting once, gargle with this mixture. This will clean your mouth and throat and help prevent further vomiting.
