Hello everyone! If you're thinking of cooking a delicious dish to enjoy with your beloved family during school or office holidays, let me introduce you to a recipe for Italian-style tomato meatball stew that both kids and adults will love.

Ingredients

  • Beef 500 grams
  • Pork 500 grams
  • Eggs 2
  • Onions 2
  • Garlic 3 cloves
  • Tomatoes 4
  • Breadcrumbs 2 tablespoons
  • Coriander (cilantro) 4 stalks
  • Basil leaves 5
  • Hard cheese 100 grams
  • Ground pepper 1 tablespoon
  • A little salt
  • Vegetable oil

Step-by-step method

(1) First, put the raw beef and pork into a bowl. If it's not convenient to buy beef and pork already minced, you can also mince them at home using a blender or chop them finely with a knife. After that, crack in the two eggs. Using a combination of pork and beef improves the flavor of the meatballs.

(2) Finely chop the onions, garlic, basil, and coriander, then mix them into the bowl with the meat and knead together. After that, add the breadcrumbs, then add salt and ground pepper and knead until well combined. Finally, grate the hard cheese on top and mix it in. Once all the ingredients have been added, shape them into evenly sized balls and prepare them for frying.

(3) Heat oil in a pot over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, fry the meatballs one by one. After frying for about 3 minutes and they are cooked through, drain the oil using a strainer and continue frying the remaining meatballs. While frying the meatballs, boil another 4 tomatoes along with one more egg.

(4) Once all the meatballs are fried, drain the oil using a strainer. Then, in another pot, add about 2 tablespoons of oil and sauté a little onion and garlic. Once the onions turn golden, add the boiled tomatoes and stir.

(5) Once the tomatoes are completely softened and cooked, add the fried meatballs and cook for about 3 minutes. And there you have it — a truly simple, easy, and time-saving delicious tomato meatball stew.
