As technology continues to advance, consumer products and kitchen appliances are becoming increasingly sophisticated, greatly helping people save energy and effort.
Among these advanced kitchen appliances, the Air Fryer is one of them. Since cooking and frying food with an Air Fryer saves time and effort, this time we'd like to share with our readers how to make delicious coconut-crusted crispy fried shrimp using an Air Fryer.
Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp
- 2 teaspoons salt and pepper
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- A small amount of shredded coconut
- 8 tablespoons Panko breadcrumbs
- A small amount of olive oil
Step-by-step instructions
1. Wash and peel the shrimp, then pat them dry. Then sprinkle on the salt and pepper.
2. In a deep plate, combine the flour, garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon pepper, and mix well. Then add the shrimp and coat them with the flour mixture.
3. In another plate, mix the eggs with the soy sauce and beat well. Dip the flour-coated shrimp into this egg mixture.
4. In another plate, combine the shredded coconut and breadcrumb mixture with a little salt and pepper, and mix well. Coat the egg-dipped shrimp with this coconut mixture.
5. Place the coconut-crusted shrimp into the Air Fryer and brush them with a little olive oil. Then fry at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 8 minutes. (After 4 minutes, you'll need to flip them over to the other side.)
Depending on how much shrimp you have, you may need to fry them in 2 or 3 batches in the Air Fryer.
6. Once the 8 minutes are up, you'll have beautifully golden-brown crispy coconut-crusted shrimp like this.
Now you can enjoy it deliciously with your favorite dipping sauce.
