Let's shape a banana into a little dolphin.

Cut the banana with a knife about half an inch from the stem end. Don't cut all the way through. From that cut point, slice the peel down the middle.

Then peel the skin away from the cut you made. Take out the banana inside.

Slice the banana lengthwise into thin pieces, about the thickness of a thumb.

About an inch from the end, cut off the little tip at the bottom end. Cut off the tips on both sides.

Turn it upside down and, as shown in the picture, cut off alternating edges one at a time.

Now we'll turn the stem end of the banana into the dolphin's head.

Using a small knife, cut the stem thinly as shown in the picture. Cut it so it forms a triangular mouth shape.

Poke the knife at the spot for the eye, then place a small dark piece for the eye.

After cutting the banana into pieces, place them on top of the dolphin-shaped peel from earlier.

As shown in the picture, arrange the pieces so they're uneven with each other.

And there you have it — a beautiful banana dolphin shape!
