Hello everyone. Garlic is one of the most powerful medicinal foods and is eaten throughout the country, in every region.

In order to eat it, you first need to peel off its skin. Because of its small size, peeling it can be tricky and time-consuming for some people. So through MyFood Myanmar, I'd like to share some good time-saving methods for housewives and everyone else.

Method 1 – Water

If you soak the garlic briefly in warm water before peeling, you'll be able to peel it quickly.

First, cut off the tip of the garlic clove with a knife.

Fill a bowl with warm water, put each garlic clove into the water, and let it soak for 5 minutes.

After 5 minutes, take out the garlic cloves and peel off the skins.

Method 2 – Microwave

Heating the garlic first in the microwave and then peeling it is also a quick and easy method.

Cut the tip of the garlic clove with a knife, then heat it in the microwave on high for about 20 seconds. When the time is up, take it out of the microwave and let it cool for about 1 minute.

Hold the garlic clove from the root end and squeeze it so the flesh comes out. You'll see the flesh come out easily.
