Hello everyone! For those who love eating dumplings, this time I'd like to share a delicious recipe for steamed pork dumplings.

Ingredients

  • Pork 1 viss (finely minced)
  • Cabbage half a head (thinly sliced)
  • Spring onion 1 bunch (thinly sliced), garlic 1 bulb (thinly sliced)and a one-inch square piece of ginger (thinly sliced)
  • Fish sauce 3 tablespoons, oyster sauce 1 tablespoonand sugar 1 tablespoon
  • Salt half a teaspoonand sesame oil half a teaspoon

  • Dried shrimp 2 teaspoons
  • Egg 1 piece (beaten)
  • Ground pepper a quarter teaspoon
  • Corn starch 1 tablespoon
  • A pack of ready-made wonton wrappers for wrapping the dumplings

Step-by-step instructions

1. Pound the dried shrimp until fluffy. Then, in a large mixing bowl, combine the dried shrimp, thinly sliced cabbage, half a teaspoon of salt, the finely minced pork, thinly sliced spring onion, garlic and ginger, 3 tablespoons of fish sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon of sugar, half a teaspoon of sesame oil, the beaten egg, ground pepper, and corn starch, then mix and knead everything together thoroughly until well combined.

2. Fill a small bowl with water. Place a wonton wrapper on one palm, and wet the remaining fingers with water. Then moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper with water.

3. Place about one teaspoon of the thoroughly kneaded filling right in the center of the wonton wrapper, then fold the wrapper into a half-moon shape. Afterward, press the edges together with your fingers to seal in the air. Continue wrapping the dumplings until all of the filling has been used up.

4. Next, pour water into a pot to a depth of about one inch. Place a few cabbage leaves in the steaming basket in which the dumplings will be steamed. If you don't line it with cabbage leaves, the dumplings will stick to the basket.

5. Then arrange the dumplings neatly in rows in the steaming basket, cover the pot with the lid, and steam for about 5 to 6 minutes.

6. Once the time is up, transfer the dumplings onto a plate, garnish with chopped spring onion, and enjoy deliciously with your favorite dipping sauce or condiment of choice.
