Do food lovers already know that you can make fried rice without using any rice at all? If you've never tried it before, give this Kanji cauliflower fried rice a try.
Let's chop up cauliflower until it resembles rice, then fry it up deliciously with Kanji (kimchi-style sauce), pork, eggs, and more.
Ingredients
- 4 oz pork slices (thinly sliced)
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 clove garlic (thinly sliced)
- 1 bunch spring onion (thinly sliced)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- About 2 lbs cauliflower
- A pinch of chili powder
- 6 eggs (2 of them half-fried)
- A pinch of salt
Ingredients needed for the Kanji sauce
- 125 ml Kanji liquid
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
Step-by-step instructions
1. Cut the cauliflower into small florets. Then put them into a food processor and blend until they resemble rice. Transfer the cauliflower rice into a large bowl.
2. Heat a pan and add the pork slices, frying until crispy. Then add a little oil, garlic, spring onion, and shallots, and fry for about 30 seconds. Add the Kanji and fry for another minute. Then add the cauliflower rice and fry for about 8 minutes.
3. Next, crack in 4 eggs. Stir-fry evenly until the eggs are cooked through. Add the Kanji liquid and fish sauce, then mix well.
4. For the final step, add a pinch of salt, stir-fry, and taste to adjust the seasoning lightly.
And there you have it — a delicious Kanji-flavored cauliflower fried rice. Transfer it to a serving plate, top with a half-fried egg, and enjoy!
