Hello everyone! This time, for those who love fried potatoes and potato curries, I'd like to share how to make cheesy potato croquettes.
Ingredients
- Mashed potatoes, 2 bowls worth (450 grams of potatoes, boiled and mashed until smooth)
- 10 pieces of Cheddar cheese
- 90 grams of all-purpose wheat flour
- A little salt and pepper
- 1 egg
- Panko breadcrumbs, 2 bowls worth (100 grams)
- Half a teaspoon of chili powder
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
Step-by-step instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit).
2. In one bowl, add the wheat flour, salt, and pepper, and mix well.
3. In a second bowl, crack the egg and beat it well.
4. In a third bowl, add the breadcrumbs and sprinkle in a little chili powder. Then mix well.
5. Take about 1 tablespoon of mashed potato and flatten it in your palm. Then place a piece of cheese right in the center and roll it into a cylinder shape.
Put the resulting potato roll into the flour bowl. Then dip it into the egg. Next, coat it with the breadcrumbs. Then place it on a baking tray.
Repeat the same process for the remaining mashed potatoes. When placing the potato rolls on the baking tray, make sure to space them slightly apart from each other.
6. Then put the tray of potato rolls into the oven and bake for about 12 to 15 minutes.
7. Once the time is up, take them out of the oven and let them cool.
And there you have it — delicious cheesy potato croquettes! You can enjoy them with your favorite dipping sauce.
