Hello everyone! This time, I'd like to share a recipe for beef tomato stew for those who love beef curry dishes.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (crushed with a knife)
  • 1/2 teaspoon thinly sliced ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 600 grams beef (cut into medium-sized chunks)

  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 800 grams tomatoes (cut into medium-sized pieces)
  • 1 red chili (cut in half)

  • 300 grams tomatoes (about 4-5 pieces), cut into medium-sized pieces

Method, step by step

1. Heat a pot and add 2 tablespoons of oil. Once the oil is hot, add the beef and stir-fry for about 6 to 8 minutes. Once the beef turns brown, add the garlic, ginger, cinnamon powder, turmeric powder, chili powder, and cumin seeds, and stir well for about 1 minute until fragrant.

2. Next, add the tomatoes, chili, and about 8 tablespoons of water, then cover with a lid. Simmer over low heat for about 1 hour. You can add more water if needed to make the beef tender.

3. While the beef is cooking, heat another pot and add about half of the remaining oil. Then add half of the tomatoes and cook for about 5 to 6 minutes. Then add all the remaining oil, add all the tomatoes, and stir for about 5 to 6 minutes.

4. Once the beef is tender, add the tomatoes into the beef pot along with a little salt and black pepper powder. Then stir well for about 3 to 4 minutes until well combined.

Once all these steps are complete, you'll have a delicious bowl of beef tomato stew ready. You can enjoy it deliciously together with rice.
