Hello everyone! I'd like to share how to cook a delicious dish combining protein-rich beef with mustard greens, which are packed with vitamins and minerals.
Ingredients
- Beef 0.5 viss (cut into medium-sized pieces)
- Chinese mustard greens, 1 bunch
- Thinly sliced garlic and ginger, 1 tablespoon each
- Oil, 4 tablespoons
- Cooking wine, 1 tablespoon
- Water, 2 tablespoons
- Corn starch (or potato starch), 1 teaspoon and salt, 1/4 teaspoon
- Oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce, half a tablespoon
- Ground pepper, 1 teaspoon
Ingredients needed for blanching the vegetables
- Water, as needed
- Salt, half a teaspoon
- Sugar, 1 teaspoon
- Oil, a small amount
Step-by-step instructions
1. In a bowl, mix together the cooking wine, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of water, and 1 teaspoon of corn starch until well combined. Then add the beef and mix well, then marinate for about 5 minutes.
2. In another bowl, add the oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon of water, soy sauce, and a little ground pepper, then mix well.
3. Pour water into a pot, add salt, sugar, and oil, then bring to a boil. Once the water is boiling, add the mustard greens and blanch for about 1 minute. Then remove the mustard greens.
4. Heat a wok and add 4 tablespoons of oil. Once the oil is hot, add the beef and fry for about 2 minutes. Once the beef turns brown, remove it and place it in a bowl.
5. In that same wok, add the garlic and ginger and sauté for about 2 minutes. Then add the fried beef back in. Next, pour in the sauce prepared in step (2) and stir-fry for about 3 minutes until well combined.
6. Place the resulting beef dish on top of the mustard greens.
And there you have it — a delicious plate of beef topped with mustard greens!
