You don't need a lot of ingredients to make Hot Chocolate. Just 3 ingredients - milk, sugar, and chocolate - are enough.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of milk (16 tablespoons)
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 ounces of chocolate

Step-by-step instructions

1. Place a medium-sized pot on the stove and heat it over medium heat. Add the sugar and milk, then stir until the sugar has completely dissolved.

2. While the milk is heating, cut the chocolate into pieces with a knife.

3. Put the chopped chocolate pieces into a heat-resistant bowl and microwave for about 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, the chocolate will have melted.

4. Once the milk reaches a temperature of 180°F, turn off the heat and pour in the melted chocolate.

(If you don't have a thermometer, it's not a problem. You don't need to wait until the surface of the milk is boiling - as soon as small bubbles start to form, you can turn off the heat.)

5. Stir until the milk and melted chocolate are well combined. If you, the reader, want even more flavor, you can also add one or two drops of vanilla extract.

6. Pour the hot chocolate you've made into a cup. Now you have a delicious Hot Chocolate drink ready. You can add a little cream or a few marshmallows and enjoy it with great flavor.
