Hello readers! Sometimes you get tired of eating plain rice for breakfast, so do you ever switch things up with some bread and jam?

When it comes to jam, most people love and eat strawberry jam, don't they. But this time, let's try something different and make blueberry jam instead.

For our dear readers who are afraid to buy store-bought jam because it might contain preservatives or unhealthy ingredients, we're going to show you an easy way to make it yourself at home.

Ingredients

  • Blueberries – 2 bowls
  • Lemon juice – 1 tablespoon
  • Cinnamon powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Granulated sugar – 1 1/4 bowls
  • Pectin (a substance that helps fruit jams set) – 2 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons

Step-by-Step Preparation

1. Put the blueberries, lemon juice, and cinnamon powder into a medium flat pot. Using a flat-bottomed glass, mash the blueberries.

2. Once they're completely mashed, bring to a boil.

3. Add in the granulated sugar as well and continue cooking. Stir occasionally and keep cooking for about 2 minutes.

4. Add the pectin and let it boil for about 1 minute. Once the minute is up, remove it from the stove.

5. Transfer into a jar for storing the jam, leaving a little space at the top. Seal the lid tightly so it's airtight, and let it cool at room temperature for a while.

6. After that, keep it in the freezer for about 3 weeks, and then you'll have delicious blueberry jam ready to enjoy.
