Hello everyone! This time, I'd like to share a great way to cook delicious pork belly.
Ingredients
- Sugar 1 tablespoon
- Ginger slices, 2 pieces
- Dried chili peppers, 2 pods, and a little sesame seed
- Light soy sauce 1 tablespoon and dark soy sauce 2 tablespoons
- Cooking wine 1 tablespoon
- Pork belly, about 0.8 lb (cut into 1-inch cube-shaped pieces)
- Hot water 500 ml
Step-by-step instructions
1. Mix the cooking wine, light soy sauce, and dark soy sauce together evenly in a bowl.
2. Heat up a wok, then add the pork pieces and fry for about 5 minutes.
3. Next, add sugar into the wok and fry until the sugar melts. Then add the ginger and chili pods, and continue frying for another 2 to 3 minutes.
4. Slowly pour the soy sauce mixture prepared earlier into the wok and fry for another 1 to 2 minutes.
5. After that, transfer the pork pieces from the wok into a clay pot (or Slow Cooker). Then add 500 ml of hot water and let it simmer for about 50 minutes.
6. When the time is up, transfer the pork curry onto a plate and sprinkle a little sesame seed on top.
And there you have it — a delicious pork belly curry is ready!
