Hello everyone! This time, I'd like to share a recipe for a curry made by combining tart tomatoes and regular tomatoes.
Ingredients
- 250 grams tomatoes (washed and cut into medium-sized pieces)
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder
- 2 cloves garlic (thinly sliced)
- 1 green chili (thinly sliced)
- 1 large tomato (unripe/sour, cut into small cubes)
- 1 teaspoon garlic-ginger paste
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/8 teaspoon turmeric powder and a pinch of salt
- A little masala (optional)
Step-by-step instructions
1. Heat a pot and add oil. When the oil is hot, add cumin seeds.
2. Then add the onions and chilies and sauté in the oil.
3. When the onions turn golden, add the garlic-ginger paste and sauté until fragrant.
4. Then add the sour tomato and a little salt, and stir for about 2 minutes.
5. When the sour tomato has softened, add the chili powder, turmeric powder, and masala.
6. Then add the tomatoes and stir for about 2 to 3 minutes.
7. Then add about 8 tablespoons of water and simmer until the tomatoes become soft and tender.
8. When the tomato curry gravy has thickened, garnish with a little coriander leaves. After tasting to check the seasoning, you can remove it from the stove.
And there you have it, a delicious tomato curry!
