Hello everyone! It wouldn't be wrong to say that grilled pork ribs are one of the most popular dishes among many people. If you want to enjoy the grilled pork ribs that are sold at high prices in big restaurants, easily and deliciously at home, I'd like to show you a little method.
Ingredients
- Pork ribs - 3 kilograms
- Brown sugar - 300 grams
- Soy sauce - 6 spoons
- Ginger - 1 piece
- Garlic - 5 cloves
- Sesame seeds - 2 spoons
- Salt - 1 spoon
- Chili powder - 1 spoon
- A little sesame oil
Step-by-step instructions
(1) First, wash and clean the pork ribs, then knead and marinate them with 1 spoon of sugar, a little salt, and a little chili powder until well seasoned.
(2) While the pork ribs are marinating, heat a pot over low-medium heat to caramelize the sugar for the sauce. Then add the brown sugar and about 200 milliliters of water, and boil until the sugar fully dissolves. While boiling the sugar, be careful to stir frequently so that the sugar doesn't stick to the pot.
(3) After boiling for about 7 minutes, once the sugar has fully melted and turned a golden brown color, add 6 spoons of soy sauce and a little sesame oil, and stir the pot slightly. Then, slice the ginger into not-too-thick, not-too-thin long strips, and add it along with the finely chopped garlic into the pot where the sugar was boiled. Sauté for about 2 minutes, then turn off the heat.
(4) Next, put some sesame seeds into an empty pot and stir-fry over low heat for about 2 minutes. Then place a little ginger and garlic on top of the marinated pork ribs, and roast them in the oven at 150 degrees Celsius for about 20 minutes.
(6) Once the time is up, line another baking tray with oiled parchment paper. Then transfer the roasted ribs onto the tray lined with the oiled parchment paper. After that, using a basting brush, carefully brush the sautéed soy sauce and sugar glaze onto the pork ribs.
(7) Once all the pork ribs have been glazed with the soy sauce and sugar mixture, roast them in the oven for about 1 hour. When the time is up, take them out of the oven, brush the remaining soy sauce and sugar glaze onto all the pork ribs again, and roast for another 3 minutes. This will give you juicy, tender pork ribs with a sweet-savory flavor and a fragrant aroma of sesame oil. Once everything is done, transfer them to a nice serving plate of your choice and sprinkle with the toasted sesame seeds, and you'll have mouth-watering grilled pork ribs ready to enjoy.
