For those who love strawberries, this time I'd like to share how to make a cheese-stuffed strawberry dessert.
Ingredients
- A few strawberries
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 5 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 5 tablespoons crushed cookies
- 1 tablespoon butter
Step-by-step instructions
1. Cut off a small slice from the pointed bottom end of each strawberry. This will allow the strawberries to sit flat and level.
2. Next, remove the green leaves from the strawberries, then cut out a small amount of the flesh inside each strawberry to create a small hollow.
Do this for all the strawberries until finished.
3. In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, sugar (5 tablespoons), heavy cream, lemon juice, and vanilla, and mix with an electric mixer until it becomes a creamy filling.
4. In another small bowl, mix the crushed cookies with the melted butter and 1 teaspoon of sugar until evenly combined.
5. Put the cream cheese mixture made in step (3) into a sealable plastic bag. Then snip off a small corner of the bag. Squeeze the mixture into the strawberries.
6. Once done, sprinkle the sugared cookie mixture over the cream-cheese-filled strawberries. Then refrigerate for about 24 hours.
Once the set time has passed, the cheese filling inside the strawberries will have become nice and firm.
And there you have it — a delicious cheese-stuffed strawberry dessert!
