Hello everyone. Since eggs are rich in protein and nutrients, they are a food that boosts the body's energy.
If you mix that food with chicken stock and cook it into a soup, it won't just be delicious—it will also be nutritious.
Ingredients
- 1 liter chicken stock
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 1 to 2 stalks spring onion (thinly sliced)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- A little salt and sesame oil
Step-by-step instructions
Pour the chicken stock into a pot and bring it to a boil.
Once the stock is boiling, slowly pour in the beaten eggs little by little with one hand, while using the other hand to stir the soup in a clockwise circular motion with a spoon. Keep stirring for about one minute.
Next, add salt, ground black pepper, and sesame oil into the soup and stir again.
After tasting and adjusting for a light, salty flavor, turn off the heat.
Just before serving, pour the soup into a serving bowl, add the spring onions, and it's ready to enjoy deliciously.
If you'd like your egg drop soup to be thicker, you can add rice flour or corn flour. To do this, first mix 2 tablespoons of rice flour with 125 milliliters of water in a bowl and stir until smooth. Then, before adding the eggs to the boiling chicken stock, pour in the rice flour mixture first. After that, add the eggs and continue with the remaining steps as described above.
If you want to feed egg drop soup to someone who isn't feeling well, add plenty of ginger. Ginger is an excellent remedy that can help fight off colds and flu.
