Hello everyone! When buying fried chicken at restaurants, most people tend to order sweet fried chicken or spicy fried chicken. Since it's rare to get sour fried chicken, I'd like to share a recipe that's easy to make at home by yourself.
Ingredients
- 1.5 viss (about 2.4 lbs) of boneless, skinless chicken breast meat (cut into 1-inch cubes)
- 2 tablespoons thinly sliced shallots
- A pinch of salt and ground pepper
- 70 grams wheat flour
- 70 grams rice flour plus 1 tablespoon
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- A little sugar and cooking oil
- 8 tablespoons each of lemon juice and water
- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
Step-by-step instructions
1. In a bowl, crack 2 eggs, add salt and ground pepper, then beat well.
2. In a separate wide bowl, mix the wheat flour and rice flour evenly together.
3. Dip the chicken pieces into the beaten egg, then coat them in the flour mixture.
4. Fry the egg-and-flour coated chicken pieces in oil heated to 350°F.
5. Fry the chicken pieces until they turn golden brown (about 5 minutes).
6. Place the fried chicken on paper towels to drain the oil.
7. To get the tangy flavor, you'll need to prepare the sauce next. Put the lemon juice, sugar, and water into a pot and bring it to a boil.
8. In a bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of cold water with 1 tablespoon of rice flour until smooth, then pour it into the pot.
9. Once the sour sauce starts boiling, pour it over the chicken pieces.
Sprinkle the finished tangy fried chicken with sesame seeds and shallots, and now it's ready to enjoy deliciously.
