For those who want to bake their own cakes, bread, and cookies at home using an oven, this time we're sharing how to make delicious sesame-coated cookies. Let's learn together so you can make them at home as a fun little project.
Ingredients
- Wheat flour 256 grams
- Baking powder 3/4 teaspoon
- Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt 1/4 teaspoon
- Butter 8 tablespoons
- Flour-kneading oil 8 tablespoons
- White sugar 12 tablespoons
- Brown sugar 4 tablespoons
- Egg 1 piece
- White sesame seeds about 8 tablespoons
Step-by-step instructions
1. Sift the wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together with a sifter and put them into a large bowl.
2. In another large bowl, mix the butter, oil, white sugar, and brown sugar together using an electric mixer until well combined.
3. Crack in 1 egg and mix again until well combined.
4. Then add the flour mixture prepared in step (1) into the large bowl and mix again.
5. Once done, shape it into one large dough ball. Cut the dough ball in half, then roll each half into a long log shape. Then wrap it with plastic and place it in the refrigerator for about 2 to 4 hours. (You can also leave it overnight.)
5. When the time is up, remove it from the refrigerator. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Then cut the long dough log into equal pieces.
6. Roll the small pieces you get into small dough balls. Then coat them with sesame seeds.
7. Lightly grease the baking tray with some oil. Place the sesame-coated dough balls on the tray, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
8. Then bake in the preheated oven for about 15 to 17 minutes.
Once the time is up, you'll have delicious sesame-coated cookies ready. They taste even better when paired with coffee, tea, or milk.
