Hello everyone! This time, let's fry up some delicious shrimp balls that will win over even picky eaters or kids who aren't big fans of shrimp.

Ingredients

  • Shrimp, peeled, about 10 pieces
  • 1 small carrot
  • 5 water chestnuts (peeled)
  • A little finely chopped coriander (you can skip it for kids who don't like coriander)
  • A little finely chopped ginger

  • A little wine
  • A little salt
  • A little cornstarch
  • A little white pepper powder
  • A little oyster sauce
  • A little sesame oil
  • A little sugar
  • Oil (for frying)

How to make

First, peel the shrimp, flatten them with the flat side of a knife, and then chop them up. (Don't chop them too finely — leave them in small chunks so you can still see some texture.)

Boil the carrot. Drain the water and cut it into small chunks.

Finely chop the water chestnuts as well.

Then, in a bowl, combine the shrimp, carrot, finely chopped water chestnuts, finely chopped coriander, finely chopped ginger, wine, salt, a little white pepper powder, a little oyster sauce, a little sesame oil, sugar, and a little cornstarch. Mix well and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes.

Then, pour oil into a pot, shape the seasoned shrimp mixture into small balls, and fry them. Fry carefully so they don't stick. When one side turns slightly golden brown, flip it over to the other side. Once both sides are cooked, they're ready to serve.
