Hello everyone! This time, the recipe I'd like to share is for Chinese-style marinated eggs. When paired with noodles, this boiled egg dish goes extremely well together, so I wanted to share it so readers can try it out too.
Ingredients
- 8 eggs
- Water
- A little salt
- 1 tablespoon seasoning powder
- Half a tablespoon sugar
- 12 tablespoons fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
Step-by-step method
1. In a small pot, add 1 liter of water, 12 tablespoons of fish sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and 1 tablespoon of seasoning powder, then bring to a boil for about 10 minutes.
2. In another larger pot, add water and a little salt, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, add the eggs and simmer on low heat for about 6 minutes. (Right after adding the eggs, stir gently with a large spoon for about 2 minutes.)
3. Once the set time is up, remove the eggs and place them into cold water, then peel off the shells.
4. Place the peeled eggs into the fish sauce and sugar mixture prepared in step (1), and let them marinate overnight.
The next morning, take the eggs out and place them onto a plate.
You'll end up with marinated eggs that have a brown exterior and an irresistibly appetizing interior.
If you eat these marinated eggs together with noodles for breakfast, you'll be able to enjoy a truly mouth-watering flavor.
