For those who want to cook up something delicious and enjoy it together on a holiday when the whole family is gathered, this time we'd like to share a recipe for pork barbecue.
Ingredients
- 1.5 viss pork
- 2 bulbs garlic (peeled and pounded flat)
- 2 tablespoons white wine
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1½ tablespoons fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon five-spice powder
Step-by-step instructions
1. Cut the pork into strips about 5 inches long and 2 inches wide.
2. Peel the garlic and pound it together with black pepper and dried chili flakes.
3. In a large bowl, mix together the white wine, ketchup, fish sauce, honey, brown sugar, garlic, and five-spice powder until well combined.
4. Place the pork pieces into a deep baking dish.
5. Pour the sauce mixture over the pork, cover it, and refrigerate for about 3 hours.
6. Once the time is up, remove the pork pieces onto a plate and pour the marinade sauce into a small bowl.
7. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
8. Pour water into the baking dish (about half an inch deep is enough). Place a wire rack over the dish, then arrange the pork pieces on the rack. Bake in the oven for about 30 to 45 minutes.
While baking, be sure to brush the pork with the reserved sauce 2 to 3 times.
9. Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool. Just before serving, slice it into pieces of your preferred size and enjoy deliciously with rice or on its own.
