Eating fried chicken wings is ordinary. If it's just fried chicken wings alone, it becomes too dry and doesn't feel quite right. So, we're sharing how to make Chinese-style braised chicken wings to turn it into a proper dish on its own. Since it's braised chicken wings, it becomes a dish by itself. It's also convenient for those who don't like oily curries.

Put 750 grams of chicken wings into a bowl, add fish sauce – 2 tablespoons, sugar – half a teaspoon, mix well by hand, and let it marinate for about 15 minutes.

After that, pat dry with oil-absorbing paper, then add corn starch – 2 tablespoons and mix thoroughly by hand.

Once mixed, add oil to a pot and fry them. When done, take them out.

Using the remaining oil in the pot, add sliced shallots – one full bowl, a pinch of salt, and stir. Then add a little water and stir again.

Once the shallots have softened, add 5 cloves of finely sliced garlic and a little finely sliced ginger, and stir. Add a little more water and stir again.

Add the fried chicken wings and stir, then add oyster sauce – 1½ tablespoons, soy sauce – half a teaspoon, and Chinese cooking wine – 1½ tablespoons, and stir well.

Add a little more water and stir again. Then add ground white pepper – half a teaspoon and stir. Add a bit more water, cover with a lid, and let it simmer for one minute.

Once the time is up, open the lid, stir, and sprinkle chopped spring onions on top. Then transfer it to a plate and it's ready to eat.
