For those who love popsicles, this time we'd like to share a homemade chocolate popsicle recipe that doesn't use any eggs or cream at all.
Ingredients
- 16 tablespoons of milk powder
- 12 tablespoons of water
- 5 tablespoons of milk oil (butter/margarine)
- 2 tablespoons of corn starch
- About 2 to 3 tablespoons of water
- Half a teaspoon of vanilla
- 200 grams of milk chocolate
- 1 tablespoon of roasted peanuts (crushed)
Step-by-step instructions
1. Put the milk powder into a large pot. Add 12 tablespoons of water and stir until well combined. Cook until it starts to boil.
2. Once the cooked milk powder mixture becomes a bit thick, add the milk oil and stir until well combined.
Next, mix 1 tablespoon of corn starch with a little water and stir until it becomes slightly thick. Pour this corn starch mixture into the pot and stir until well combined.
3. Once it has cooked to a slightly thick consistency, pour it into a large bowl and let it cool.
4. Then, add about half a teaspoon of vanilla. Stir until well combined.
5. Next, pour the mixture into small popsicle molds. Cover the molds with foil.
6. Estimate the center point of each cup, then use a knife to poke a hole through the foil. Then insert the popsicle sticks. Once done, freeze in the freezer for at least 8 hours, or ideally overnight.
7. After freezing for the set time, take them out of the freezer and let them sit for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, you'll be able to easily pull the popsicles out of their molds.
8. Next, add a little water to a small saucepan and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, remove from the heat. Place a bowl over the saucepan. Put the milk chocolate into the bowl and stir until the chocolate melts.
To prevent the chocolate from scorching, melt it using only the heat of the hot water. This way, when you dip the popsicles into the chocolate, it won't melt off completely.
9. Pour the melted chocolate into a deep cup. Then dip the popsicles into it. Hold the popsicle until the chocolate stops dripping.
After that, put the popsicles back in the freezer to chill again.
After chilling for a few minutes, you'll have delicious chocolate popsicles ready.
For those who want to eat peanut chocolate, there's one more extra step.
That step is — mix the crushed peanuts into the melted chocolate and stir well, then dip the popsicle into the chocolate mixture.
