This time, for those who love desserts, the baking recipe we're sharing is a chocolate banana cake that doesn't use eggs.
Ingredients
- 2 bananas
- 6 tablespoons raw sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 tablespoons cow's milk
- 4 tablespoons sunflower oil
- 150 grams wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- A pinch of salt
- 5 tablespoons chocolate chips
Step-by-step instructions
1. Cut the bananas into small pieces, put them into a large bowl, and mix thoroughly with the sugar. Then mash the bananas with a fork until they become a soft paste. (You can also put them in a fruit blender and blend until smooth, which works just as well.)
2. Add 4 tablespoons of oil, 4 tablespoons of cow's milk, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract into the mashed banana mixture, and stir well until thoroughly combined.
3. In another bowl, sift in the wheat flour, salt, cinnamon powder, baking soda, and baking powder using a sieve. Then mix well.
4. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (or 356 degrees Fahrenheit) for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Grease the cake pan you'll be baking in with oil.
5. Add the flour mixture prepared earlier into the mashed banana mixture. Add in the chocolate chips as well.
6. Once that's done, knead well until combined. The resulting banana-flour mixture should neither be as firm as a hard dough ball nor as sticky as glue.
It's ready once it reaches the consistency shown in the picture.
7. Pour the resulting banana-flour mixture into the cake pan and smooth out the surface evenly. Then place it in the oven and bake for 35 to 45 minutes.
8. Once the set time has passed, test it by poking with a toothpick. If no cake batter sticks to the toothpick, that indicates the banana cake is ready to be eaten.
Once the cake has cooled down, you can enjoy the delicious chocolate banana cake.
