Hello everyone! This time it's for kids who love seafood. If eating crab is a bit inconvenient because of the hard shell, how about taking out the crab meat and frying it? It tastes great too. I'd like to share this recipe for fried crab cakes that kids will love.
Ingredients
- Oil
- A little finely chopped coriander
- A little finely chopped bell pepper
- A little finely chopped shallot
- A little finely chopped garlic
- A little chili powder (you can skip the chili powder if it's for kids)
- A little salt
- A little ground pepper
- A little Dijon Mustard (a thick, tangy yellow condiment made from black mustard seeds)
- 2 tablespoons of egg white
Source: Maine Lobster Now
- A little Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- Crab meat
- A sauce of your choice for dipping
Method
Heat a non-stick pan and add a little oil. Add the coriander, bell pepper, shallot, garlic, chili powder, salt, and ground pepper. Fry for 7-8 minutes.
Once the vegetables have softened, transfer them to a bowl.
Add the mustard into it. Mix in the egg white and Worcestershire sauce. Add the breadcrumbs and mix thoroughly.
Add the crab meat. Then mix well and shape into small balls.
Once done, fry them in hot oil.
You can eat these as they are, or they're also perfect with hot rice.
