Hello everyone! This time, I want to share how to make a crispy fried beef dish that's crunchy and delicious.
Ingredients
- 1 pound of beef slices (cut into fairly long strips)
- 32 tablespoons of vegetable oil, for frying
- 1 teaspoon of good quality pepper powder, 16 tablespoons of corn starch, and 4 tablespoons of wheat flour
- 12 tablespoons of water
- 1 egg
Ingredients needed to make the sauce
- 5 tablespoons of light soy sauce and 2 tablespoons of dark soy sauce
- 4 tablespoons of water
- 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
- 5 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of chili powder
For sautéing in oil
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 5 cloves of garlic (thinly sliced)
- 1 tablespoon of thinly sliced ginger
- 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
- 2 stalks of spring onion (thinly sliced)
Step-by-step instructions
1. Knead the beef pieces well with corn starch, wheat flour, and good quality pepper powder until evenly coated. Then add water and crack in the egg, and knead again until well mixed.
2. Heat a pot and add the vegetable oil. Once the oil is hot, fry the beef pieces for about 3 to 4 minutes. When the beef pieces turn brown, transfer them to a plate.
3. To make the sauce, mix all the required ingredients together evenly.
Add 1 tablespoon of sesame oil to the pot. Add the garlic and ginger and sauté for about 1 minute. Then pour in the sauce prepared earlier and let it simmer for about 1 to 2 minutes.
4. Once the sauce has thickened, add the fried beef back in and stir-fry for about 1 to 2 minutes.
Just before removing from the heat, sprinkle in the sesame seeds and spring onions.
Now you have a delicious crispy fried beef dish ready to serve.
