Hello everyone! This time, I want to share how to make crispy fried tofu marinated with a variety of sauces including lime juice, soy sauce, and sugar.

Ingredients

  • 1 block of tofu
  • 4 stalks of spring onion (cut into medium-length pieces)
  • Vegetable oil
  • 5 tablespoons of soy sauce and 4 tablespoons of cooking wine
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar and 3 tablespoons of chili paste

  • 1 teaspoon of lime juice
  • 4 cloves of garlic (thinly sliced)
  • 1 piece of ginger (thinly sliced)
  • 112 grams of cornstarch, half a teaspoon of salt, and half a teaspoon of ground pepper

Step-by-step Instructions

1. In a large bowl, add the soy sauce, cooking wine, sugar, chili paste, lime juice, garlic, and ginger, and mix well.

2. Cut the tofu into medium-sized pieces and soak them in the bowl. Then seal the bowl tightly and shake it a little. After that, place it in the refrigerator for about one night.

3. The next morning, place the tofu on a paper towel to drain off the liquid.

4. On a plate, mix together the cornstarch, salt, and ground pepper evenly.

5. Heat a pan and add oil. Once the oil is hot, coat the tofu with the cornstarch mixture and fry it in the pan.

6. After frying for about two minutes, flip it over to the other side and fry for another two minutes until golden.

7. Once fried, remove the tofu pieces and place them on a plate.

When all the pieces are fried, you'll have delicious crispy fried tofu ready to enjoy.
