Hello everyone! This time, I'd like to share with MyFood Myanmar's food lovers a recipe for a delicious and crispy twice-fried beef dish.

Ingredients

  • Beef 500 grams
  • Oil 2 teaspoons and water 2 tablespoons
  • Corn starch 2 tablespoons and 1 teaspoon
  • Carrot 1
  • Oil for frying

  • Spring onion 1 stalk and garlic 1 bulb (thinly sliced)
  • A small amount of green chili (thinly sliced)
  • Oil 1 tablespoon
  • Vinegar 3 teaspoons, soy sauce 2 teaspoons and water 1 tablespoon,
  • Sugar 2 teaspoons and sesame oil 1 teaspoon

Step-by-step preparation method

1. Cut the beef into thin strips.

2. Then, mix the beef strips thoroughly with 2 teaspoons of oil, 2 tablespoons of water and 1 teaspoon of corn starch. Then cover the plate of beef and let it marinate for about 30 minutes.

3. Cut the carrots into thin strips as well. Then put them into hot oil and fry until they turn golden brown. Once done, transfer them onto a plate.

4. Reheat the oil, add the beef and fry for a few minutes. While frying, gently separate the pieces of beef so they don't stick to each other. Then remove and place onto a plate.

5. Sprinkle the remaining corn starch over the fried beef. Then put it into the hot oil and fry until it turns golden brown. Again, transfer it back onto the plate.

6. Next, you need to make the sauce. Heat a pan and add 1 teaspoon of oil. Add the spring onion, garlic, green chili, vinegar, soy sauce, water, sugar and sesame oil, and cook until it comes to a boil.

7. Once the sauce is boiling, add the beef and carrots and fry thoroughly. Once everything is well mixed and cooked through, you can remove it from the heat.

And there you have it — a delicious and crispy twice-fried beef dish is ready to enjoy.
