Hello everyone! For those who enjoy eating international traditional dishes, this time I'd like to share a recipe for Indian-style mixed vegetable and potato curry.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- 2 cloves of garlic (thinly sliced)
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 3/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder, 1 1/2 teaspoons of cumin powder, and 3/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 2 teaspoons of thinly sliced ginger
- 2 onions (cut into small square pieces)
- 4 tomatoes (cut into medium-sized pieces)
- 3 carrots (thinly sliced)
- 1 bowl of green peas
- 2 potatoes (cut into 1-inch cubes)
- 12 tablespoons of water
Step-by-step instructions
1. Heat a pot and add the vegetable oil. Then add the garlic, ground cinnamon, cumin powder, turmeric powder, ginger, and chili powder, and stir for about 1 minute.
2. Next, add the onions and sauté in the oil for about 3 minutes.
3. In the next step, add the tomatoes, carrots, green peas, potatoes, salt, and water.
4. Cover the pot with a lid and simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes.
While it's simmering, stir it about 2 times.
When the set time is up, check whether the potatoes are soft or not. (You can add a little more water if needed)
Once the vegetables and potatoes have become soft, you can take it off the stove.
Now you have a delicious Indian-style mixed vegetable and potato curry ready to serve.
