Hello everyone! This time, I'd like to share a simple and easy way to make egg pudding at home.
I hope both those who love eating pudding and those who enjoy making desserts will like this.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 9 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon water and 2 tablespoons hot water
- 250 milliliters milk
- Butter
Step-by-step preparation method
1. Grease the cups you'll use for the pudding with butter. Greasing them this way prevents the pudding from sticking to the sides of the cups and makes it easier to remove later.
2. In a pot, add 1 tablespoon of water and 4 tablespoons of sugar, and make caramel.
3. When the water turns brown from the sugar, pour in 2 tablespoons of hot water. Don't stir the caramel with a spoon; instead, just tilt the pot's handle gently from side to side.
4. Pour the resulting caramel syrup evenly into the heat-resistant cups you'll use for the pudding.
5. Next, beat the eggs fairly vigorously in a large bowl.
6. Pour 250 milliliters of milk and 5 tablespoons of sugar into the pot used earlier (no need to turn on the stove), and stir until the sugar dissolves.
7. Then pour the resulting milk mixture into the bowl of beaten eggs. While pouring the milk with one hand, use the other hand to keep stirring the eggs.
8. Strain the resulting egg-milk mixture through a sieve. (This is to remove the foam/bubbles created from the stirring.)
9. Then, gently pour the egg-milk mixture into the cups that already contain the caramel. Once done, cover each pudding cup with aluminum foil.
10. Next, you need to steam the pudding to cook it. Add water to a pot and place a cloth/towel in it. Then heat it up, and place the pudding cups inside.
11. Cover the pot with a lid and steam over low heat for 18 to 20 minutes. There's no need to wait for the water to come to a boil first.

Once the time is up, remove the pudding cups from the pot and let them cool. Then place them in the refrigerator. And there you have it — delicious homemade egg pudding!
Just before serving, turn the pudding out onto a small plate and enjoy its delicious taste.
