I'd like to share a great method for frying sweet and sour chicken that tastes just as good as the ones fried at restaurants. Since this recipe explains frying using the simplest method, it will work well even if you don't know how to cook at all.

First, to make the sauce, add into a bowl: Ketchup sauce – 1½ tablespoons, sugar – 1 tablespoon, vinegar – 2 teaspoons, fish sauce – 1 teaspoon, sesame oil – 1 teaspoon, and water – 1 tablespoon, then mix well.

Cut chicken into medium-sized pieces and put them into a large bowl. Add salt – a small amount, and chili powder – a small amount, then mix well.

In another bowl, add wheat flour – one cup's worth, and water – one cup, then stir together.

Once mixed, add the marinated chicken pieces in and coat them, then take each piece one by one and fry in a pot of oil. There's no need to fry them until extremely crispy — once the color changes, they're done. After frying, drain the oil and set them aside.

In another pot, add oil – a small amount, then cut shallots and bell peppers into small cubes and fry them in. Note that you need to remove the seeds from inside the bell pepper.

Once they've softened a bit, add in the sauce mixture you prepared first and stir. After a moment, add in the fried chicken pieces and stir together.

Taste it, and once you're satisfied with the flavor, scoop it into a plate and enjoy.
