- 1½ tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons thinly sliced ginger
- 2 teaspoons thinly sliced garlic
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
Step-by-step method
1. Heat a pan and add the olive oil.
2. Add the chicken pieces and fry for about 3 minutes. Then flip them over and fry the other side for another 3 minutes.
3. While the chicken is frying, combine the soy sauce, water, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and cornstarch in a bowl and mix well.
4. Then pour the mixture into the pan with the chicken and stir well. Let it simmer until the sauce thickens, which should take about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
5. Just before taking it off the stove, sprinkle a little chopped spring onion and sesame seeds on top.
