Hello everyone! This time, for those who love tomato-based dishes, we'd like to share a recipe for a tomato stew cooked with garlic sauce and pork.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams tomatoes
  • 150 grams pork (thinly sliced)
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil and 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 4 dried red chilies (cut in half)
  • 2 stalks spring onion (thinly sliced)

  • 2 tablespoons thinly sliced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons thinly sliced ginger
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce and 1 tablespoon vinegar

  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar and 1 tablespoon cooking wine
  • Cornstarch slurry (mix 1 teaspoon cornstarch with 2 teaspoons water)

Step-by-step Instructions

1. Cut the tomatoes into pieces about 6 centimeters long. Then soak them in salted water for 15 to 30 minutes.

Once soaked, take out the tomatoes and pat them dry.

2. Then fry them in hot oil until golden brown. Then take them out onto a plate.

3. In a pan, over low heat, sauté the onion, ginger, spring onion, and chili pieces in oil. Add the thinly sliced pork and stir until well mixed. Then add the chili powder, ground pepper, oyster sauce, sugar, and cooking wine, and stir until well combined.

4. Next, add the tomatoes and stir until they become soft. Add the cornstarch slurry. Add the half teaspoon of sesame oil and the vinegar, and mix well.

After tasting for saltiness and mild flavor, you'll have a delicious bowl of sliced pork with tomato stew ready to enjoy.
