Hello everyone! Just like the saying goes, "Mango for fruit, pork for meat, tea leaf for greens," pork is truly one of the best and most flavorful meats among all meats. This time, I'd like to share a delicious way to fry pork with watercress leaves.

Ingredients

  • Fish sauce 1 tablespoon
  • Rice wine 1 tablespoon
  • Corn starch 1 teaspoon
  • Water 1 tablespoon
  • Brown sugar 1 teaspoon

  • Pork about 8 oz (thinly sliced)
  • Vegetable oil 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic, thinly sliced, 2 tablespoons
  • Watercress 1 bunch (cut into medium-length pieces)
  • Shallots, thinly sliced, 3 tablespoons

Step-by-step instructions

1. In a bowl, mix the fish sauce, rice wine, and corn starch together thoroughly. Add the sliced pork into the marinade and let it soak for about 10 minutes.

2. In another bowl, mix water, sugar, and salt together thoroughly.

3. Heat a wok and add oil. Add the garlic and fry for about 15 seconds until fragrant.

4. Add the pork and marinade from the first bowl into the wok and fry for about 30 seconds. Continue frying for another minute until the pork turns golden brown.

5. Add the watercress and fry. Pour in the mixed liquid from the second bowl and let it simmer for about 2 minutes. Add the shallots and stir again.

Then transfer it to a serving plate and enjoy hot with rice.
