Hello everyone! This time, the dish I'd like to share is a beef rib soup that goes well with rice, and also pairs nicely with boiled noodles.
Ingredients
- About 3 viss of beef ribs (cut into medium-sized pieces)
- 1 onion (cut into large chunks)
- 250 grams of white radish (peeled)
- 2 stalks of spring onion (cut into 2.5-inch lengths)
- 30 grams of garlic (peeled)
- A little ground black pepper
- 2.5 liters of water
- For seasoning the beef ribs: 1.5 tablespoons of fish sauce, 1 tablespoon of thinly sliced garlic, 2 teaspoons of salt, and a little ground black pepper
Step-by-step instructions
1. Soak the beef ribs in cold water for about 20 minutes.
2. Pour water into a pot and bring it to a rolling boil. Then add the beef ribs and boil for about 6 to 8 minutes.
After that, take out the beef ribs and rinse them again with cold water.
3. In another clean pot, add the beef ribs, onion, radish, spring onion, garlic, ground black pepper, and 2.5 liters of water, cover with a lid, and bring to a boil.
4. After boiling for about 1.5 hours, take out the beef ribs and radish. Scoop the beef broth into another pot. Remove the remaining spring onion, garlic, and onion.
Slice the radish thinly and add it into the pot of beef broth.
5. Season the beef ribs well with 1.5 tablespoons of fish sauce, 1 tablespoon of thinly sliced garlic, 2 teaspoons of salt, and a little ground black pepper, mixing thoroughly.
Then add them into the soup pot and boil for about 8 minutes. Once you've tasted and adjusted the seasoning to your liking, you can take it off the stove.
Just before taking it off the stove, thinly slice some spring onion and sprinkle it in.
And there you have it — a delicious and nutritious beef rib soup!
It goes well with rice, and it's also great served together with boiled noodles.
