When grilling, many people grill ready-made meat sticks. But do you believe those meat sticks are good for your health? Don't you want to make your own meat sticks that you can trust for the health of your whole household, including yourself?
Let's try making meat sticks ourselves using the method shown below.
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb minced fish
- 1/4 lb eel (washed and thinly sliced)
- 1/4 lb shrimp (peeled and washed)
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 onion
- Salt and sugar, 1 teaspoon each
- Oil, 3 cups full
- Wheat flour and corn flour, 4 tablespoons each
- 1 egg white
Step-by-step Method
1. Debone the minced fish. In a food processor that can mix and chop the meat, add the minced fish, shrimp, eel, garlic, onion, salt, sugar, black pepper powder, 1 tablespoon of oil, wheat flour, corn flour, and egg white, then blend for about 2 minutes.
2. Transfer the resulting paste into a bowl. Heat oil in a pot.
3. Using a large flat spoon and a knife, shape the meat paste into stick forms.
4. Then put them into the oil and fry for 5 to 7 minutes. Once the meat sticks turn golden brown, remove them from the hot oil and let them cool.
You can enjoy the resulting meat sticks dipped in sour sauce or other sauces. If you want to store them for a longer time, place them in a sealed plastic bag and keep them in the freezer. They can be kept for up to 3 months.
