Hello everyone! When we hear the word "spring roll," we immediately picture the Chinese dish made with meat filling wrapped in wheat flour wrappers. This time, instead of using wheat flour, I'd like to share a recipe for a roll wrapped with egg instead.
Ingredients
- Chicken (or beef, or pork) 100 grams (finely minced)
- Sesame oil about 1/2 teaspoon
- Rice flour about 1/2 teaspoon
- 2 eggs
- Salt about 1/4 teaspoon
- Finely minced garlic about 1 teaspoon
Step-by-step instructions
Mix the finely minced meat with sesame oil, ground pepper, and rice flour, then knead until well combined.
After kneading until the seasoning has soaked into the meat, put it in a frying pan and fry it.
Put the fried meat onto a plate and set it aside.
Add a little salt to the 2 eggs and beat them well.
Next, take about 2 tablespoons of the beaten egg, pour it into the frying pan, and spread the egg out into a circular shape.
While the egg is still half-cooked, take about half a tablespoon of the fried meat and place it right in the center of the egg. Gently press the meat down with a small spoon.
Next, using a large flat spoon, fold one side of the egg over, as shown in the picture. Press the edges of the egg with the spoon to seal it so the fried meat doesn't spill out.
Flip it over to the other side and continue frying for a few more minutes.
Continue frying in the same way until all the beaten egg is used up.
Transfer the fried egg rolls onto a plate, garnish with small chili peppers, and enjoy deliciously with tomato sauce or chili sauce. These egg-wrapped meat rolls can be enjoyed as a snack or served as a dish with a meal — this versatility is one of the great advantages of egg meat rolls.
