Among the many flavors like tea-leaf eggs and herbal eggs, this time I want to share a recipe for soy sauce flavored eggs.

Ingredients

• Rice vinegar 125 ml
• Plain vinegar 125 ml
• Water 125 ml
• Sugar 1 tablespoon
• 1 shallot (sliced into 1-inch pieces)

• Boiled eggs 12 (peeled)
• Soy sauce, about one bowlful
• 1 glass jar with a capacity of 32 oz (washed and dried)

Step-by-step method

1. Heat a pot, add the rice vinegar, plain vinegar, water, and sugar, and bring to a boil. Once it boils, remove from the stove and let it cool down.

2. Pour a small amount of soy sauce into the glass jar, then place about 2 to 3 eggs on top of the soy sauce.

3. Add a little more soy sauce on top of the eggs, then place another 2 to 3 eggs on top of that soy sauce.

4. Continue layering the soy sauce and eggs one layer at a time, slowly, until all the soy sauce and eggs are used up.

5. Once all the soy sauce and eggs are used up, pour the vinegar mixture that was boiled earlier into the glass jar. Then, seal the jar tightly and place it in the refrigerator for about 24 hours.

Once the 24 hours are up, you can enjoy delicious soy sauce flavored boiled eggs. These soy sauce soaked eggs should be consumed within a week.
