Pancakes are usually easy to make, and many people make them at home. But Souffle Pancakes aren't something people often make. Since they're soft and fluffy, they're delicious for both adults and kids. And they're not that hard to make either. So today, we're sharing a recipe for really delicious Japanese Souffle Pancakes.
Crack one egg into a bowl, and separate the yolk into a separate bowl.
Into the bowl with the yolk, add 2 tablespoons of cake flour, 1 tablespoon of milk, 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil, and 2-3 drops of vanilla extract, then mix well.
Now take the bowl with the egg white that we set aside earlier, and whisk it with a mixer. Then add a heaping tablespoon of sugar and continue whisking.
Once it's whisked well, fold it into the yolk mixture we prepared first and mix thoroughly.
Place a pan on the stove and add a little vegetable oil. Keep the heat on the lowest setting.
Scoop the mixed batter with a spoon or ice cream scoop and place it onto the pan to fry. Cover with a lid and let it cook for about 3 minutes. Once the time is up, open the lid, flip it over, add about 2 tablespoons of water, and cover again to cook.
Once it's done, place it on a plate and it's ready to eat. And that's how you make Japanese Souffle Pancakes!
