Hello everyone! This time, we're going to prepare potato chicken curry using a Korean-style spicy cooking method.
Ingredients
- Chicken 3 lbs (cut into medium-sized pieces)
- Potatoes 10 oz (cut into fairly large pieces)
- Carrots 2 (cut into fairly large pieces)
- Spring onions 2 stalks (cut into about 2-inch lengths), half an onion (cut into fairly large pieces), and garlic 5 cloves
- Ginger 3 slices
- Chili powder 2 tablespoons and chili paste 2 tablespoons
- Sugar 1 tablespoon and honey 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce 4 tablespoons
- Rice wine (cooking wine) 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil 1 tablespoon and sesame seeds 1 teaspoon
Step-by-step preparation method
1. Place the chicken, potatoes, carrots, onion, garlic, and ginger into the slow cooker.
2. Add the chili powder, sugar, honey, soy sauce, rice wine, chili paste, and sesame oil into the pot with the chicken and mix thoroughly until well combined.
3. Once the vegetables, meat, and chilies are all well mixed, cover the slow cooker and cook on high heat for about 4 hours. (If cooking on low heat, it will take about 6 hours.)
Once the set time is up, sprinkle in the spring onions, sesame oil, and sesame seeds. And there you have it — a delicious Korean-style spicy potato chicken dish! Enjoy it deliciously together with rice.
