Hello everyone! This time, for those who love spicy sour flavors, I want to share the recipe for pork-stuffed fried peppers.
Ingredients
- Pork 10 oz (finely minced)
- Garlic 3 cloves (finely minced)
- 1 carrot (finely julienned)
- 1 stalk spring onion (finely chopped)
- Salt 1/2 teaspoon and black pepper powder 1/4 teaspoon
- Corn flour 1 teaspoon
- Sesame oil and sugar 1/4 teaspoon each
- About 13 large peppers
- Tempura flour, 2 bowls' worth plus 4 tablespoons (total 36 tablespoons)
- Water 20 tablespoons
Step-by-step preparation
1. In a large bowl, combine the pork, garlic, carrot, spring onion, salt, black pepper powder, corn flour, sesame oil, and sugar, and mix thoroughly until well blended.
2. Cut a slit lengthwise down the middle of each pepper. Then gently scoop out the seeds inside using a teaspoon. After that, wash the peppers with cold water.
3. Coat the seeded peppers, both inside and out, with 4 tablespoons of tempura flour so that it sticks to the surface.
4. Next, stuff about 1 to 2 tablespoons of the pork filling into each pepper.
5. Heat a pot with oil in it.
6. In a bowl, mix the remaining tempura flour with water until well combined, stirring until it becomes a batter. Dip the pork-stuffed peppers into this tempura batter, then place them into the hot oil to fry.
7. After frying for about five to six minutes, the pork-stuffed fried peppers will turn a beautiful golden color and be ready.
Scoop them out onto a plate. Once all are fried, you can enjoy them deliciously with your favorite dipping sauce.
If you, dear reader, don't like pork filling, you can use beef or chicken instead of pork, according to your preference.
