Hello everyone! This time, I'd like to share how to cook a tasty potato dish using a mix of soy sauce and sugar sauce.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon fish sauce
- 1 clove garlic (thinly sliced)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 10 oz potatoes (peeled, washed, and cut in half)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil and 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Step-by-step instructions
1. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, water, sugar, fish sauce, and garlic, and stir until the sugar has fully dissolved.
2. Heat a pan, add a little oil, and once the oil is hot, add the potatoes.
Fry the potatoes for about 5 to 6 minutes until they turn golden brown.
3. Once the potatoes have turned golden brown, reduce the heat. Then pour in the sauce prepared in step 1 and mix well with the potatoes until evenly combined. Cover with a lid and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
4. Once the set time is up, open the lid and stir the potatoes until the sauce has reduced.
5. Once the sauce has reduced, remove from heat and transfer to a plate. Then drizzle with sesame oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds, and enjoy!
