Hello everyone! MyFood Myanmar would like to share a mouth-watering bean noodle recipe that both noodle lovers and Korean food enthusiasts will enjoy.
Ingredients
- 1 full bowl of noodles
- 0.5 lb pork belly
- Half a carrot
- 3 potatoes (peeled and cut into half-inch cubes)
- 1 large onion
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- 5 tablespoons soybean paste
- Potato starch solution (mix 2 tablespoons potato starch with 4 tablespoons water and 1 teaspoon sugar until well combined)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Half a cucumber (thinly sliced into strips)
Step-by-step instructions
1. Cut the pork, carrot, potatoes, and radish into half-inch cube-shaped pieces of equal size.
2. Heat a pot and add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil. Then add the pork and stir-fry for about 4 minutes. Once the pork turns golden brown, remove the pork pieces and set them aside separately from the fat in a bowl.
3. Add the carrot and stir-fry for about 1 minute. Then add the potatoes and onion, and stir-fry for about 3 minutes.
4. Next, add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil into the pot, then add 5 tablespoons of soybean paste and stir well for about a minute. After that, add 500 ml of water, cover the pot with a lid, and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
5. After ten minutes, take a small taste of the potato and carrot. Once the potatoes and carrots are cooked, pour in the potato starch solution a little at a time while stirring thoroughly.
6. Once the potato starch solution has thickened while stirring, add the sesame oil and remove the pot from the heat.
Pour the prepared potato and soybean paste mixture over the noodles. Add a little cucumber and mix well.
And there you have it — a delicious bowl of bean noodles. Enjoy it to your heart's content.
If you don't want to eat it with noodles, you can also mix it with rice and enjoy it as bean rice.
