Hello everyone! Let's try cooking this mixed vegetable beef curry that's rich in beef protein and full of the vitamins and minerals from carrots and potatoes.
Ingredients
- 96 grams wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika powder and 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion (diced into small cubes) and 1 clove garlic (thinly sliced)
- 500 milliliters beef stock
- 2 pounds beef (cut into small chunks)
- 6 carrots and 6 potatoes (cut into half-inch size pieces)
- 79 milliliters cold water
- 1 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon lime juice, 1 teaspoon sugar, and 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Step-by-step instructions
1. Mix the wheat flour, paprika powder, and garlic powder evenly together. Put the beef into a sealable bag, then add the mixed flour into the bag with the beef.
2. Heat a pot and add the oil. Once the oil is hot, add the beef chunks and fry them.
3. In a pot, add the onion, garlic, beef stock, salt, lime juice, sugar, 1 teaspoon paprika powder, ground black pepper, carrots, and potatoes, and let them boil.
Boil until the potatoes and carrots become soft.
4. About 30 minutes before the pot comes to a boil, mix 3 tablespoons of wheat flour with a little water to form a paste.
5. Add the flour paste into the pot and let it cook for about 20 minutes. Once the curry thickens, you can turn off the heat.
Just before serving with rice, transfer to a bowl and enjoy it warm.
